Available Housing
Thank you for your interest in AHA housing. AHA housing is created for people of low income. Like all nonprofit developers, we use income ranges defined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Please note that income requirements may vary from property to property and are subject to change. Opportunities to rent our apartments come from new properties which we develop and from vacancies which arise in our existing housing. To the right is the list of properties accepting applications at this time. You can download all application material from each property page. In addition, it is advisable to review the Eligibility Criteria that apply to all our properties (click here to download the document). This site updates regularly as vacancies arise or new housing is developed. If we cannot meet your housing needs, we recommend that you contact The Housing Help-Link at (800) 273-6222 for emergency housing referrals and Eden I & R at 211 (yes, 211 is all you need to dial) for a range of housing resources.
We maintain waiting lists for all of our properties so that as units become vacant we have a ready list of interested applicants. Please note that we cannot predict how long anyone will be on the waiting list before housing becomes available. If you would like clarification regarding our application process, you can call the main office at 510-649-8500 x10.
Each of our properties requires a seperate application, so please be sure to get an application for each individual property that you are interested in.
Please note that these applications are on our website in pdf format readable by Adobe Reader. If you cannot read these files, you can download the free reader software from Adobe. If you prefer, we can mail you applications. Please call the main office (see above) and state your address and which applications you would like to receive.
